Ode to Jade!!!

We call her the Hostess with the Mostest, but we could call her our Well of Wisdom, or our Sage Sista.  It is difficult to give someone a nickname, inspired not only by their awesomeness, but also their wisdom and knowledge, that does not also make them sound elderly.

She is All-Knowing.                                                           Need Advice about a Hair Product?  Ask Jade. Need to a Guy for a Job?  Ask Jade.
Need Blinky Beads?  Ask Jade.
Need an Honest Perspective?  Ask Jade.

She is Kind and Generous.                           She is more than understanding when your child uses a light                                                                       saber to shatter something glass because they were afraid of
it, or when your child bleeds all over her white tile & grout.
She stocks the juice you like when you are coming over.

She is Thoughtful.       She is Patient.       She is Talented.      She is an Amazing Mom.      She is a Gem.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2012

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up!
And if your kids go to Challenger Elementary, it's even sooner!
April 30th - May 4th is when we are celebrating our teachers
and letting them know just how much we appreciate all they do for our children.

There are so many ways you can cheer for your teacher this week:

  • Participate in whatever the room mom for your child's class is planning.  She needs the help.  I promise.  I know these things.
  • Volunteer.  There is always something that needs to be done.  The library and the lunchroom are great places to start.  Have a few free minutes during your child's lunch hour?  Go help those Kindergarteners open their gogurts, and let their teacher put their feet up!
  • No time, you say?  Write your child's teacher a quick note, or send an email.  It will mean so much to them, and might be a little ray of light on a dark day.  A parents positive point of view is seldom seen, but very much appreciated.
  • Gifts are always a great idea.  And if you still need a gift to show your teacher how amazing you think he or she is, The Polka Dot Sign Shop can help you out!  We promise to make you look good!  We will customize a sign just for your teacher!

Mention this blog post when you order, and you can take $5 off your order.
And if your teacher teaches at Challenger Elementary, you can take off another $5.
